We, the Patchwork and Quilt Circle, focus on making quilts, small accessories and hanging decorations with traditional Japanese fabrics. We exhibit our creations throughout Japan. We enjoy breathing life back into the kimono fabric, forgotten family treasures which have been passed on from generation to generation. We consider this concept our theme. This is our 5th time to participate in the Honolulu Festival. We are now working hard at making patchwork and quilts for the upcoming Festival.

We will hold an Eternally Blooming Flower, Preserved Flower International Design Contest again this year. Every year we host an occasion like this to introduce this new Japanese flower culture to not only Hawaii but also to the US mainland and other countries. Everybody has enjoyed and appreciated our art. We will exhibit flowers created by our designers, which have been thoughtfully created by selecting the best colors that will be appreciated by the people of Hawaii.
Continuing from last year, free hands-on lessons will also be held starting at 11:00 on both days, 15th and 16th. Each session lasts about 30 minutes and is on a first-come-first-serve basis. Also this year we will exhibit a bride's keepsake: a bridal bouquet collection in the lobby of the Sheraton Waikiki Hotel. So please visit and enjoy the exhibition.

Kappore is a dance that was usually performed at traditional banquet parties. It became popular in Japan through parade performances. The fun dance is highlighted by performers shouting "Kappore, Kappore" in unison as they kick up their heels.
Ginza International Freelancer's Association's various activities include not only supporting flower designers, but also collaborating with freelance members whose talents vary in many areas, who have officially registered with the association. We are actively promoting international cultural exchange through flower arrangement.
We will be featuring a picture panel of Karatsu and Himeji, two cities in Japan that represent the preservation of traditional Japanese culture to the world.
We will also feature the works of Yao Min of the International Cultural Exchange Academy (Shanghai), who is a member of IFA as well as a well-known shadow box designer. We hope this will be the beginning of a friendship exchange between Japan and China and also with the U.S.
