Japan 3B Gymnastics Association
[ Tokyo ]
3B Gymnastics refers to the use of the ball, weights and bands to perform our exercise routine as a group to the music of our choice. This exercise program enables members to remain youthful and to alleviate the stress of daily living by practicing flexibility and endurance of all parts of the body. It is the foundation of maintaining physical strength. We combine fun in the routines to relax our mind and body. We also adapt our routines to accommodate our members' differences in age and strength. Our group that will be performing in the Grand Parade is 150 members strong. Please come to see our performance.
We preserve the Japanese cultural tradition of reading "Ogura Hyakunin Isshu" (100 poems by 100 poets) through the game of "karuta" (playing cards). We are members of the Japan Karuta Association. The beauty of the words in the poems reflect our appreciation of the four seasons of Japan and the inner workings of the human spirit. We hope to be able to touch your hearts through this Japanese tradition and that many of you will come to participate.

Ryukyu Dance Perfomance Group Izena no Kai
[ Tokyo ]
Our performance group incorporates contemporary dancing to the traditional form of Ryukyu dance. Our stage performances are beautifully choreographed. We have performed in Japan and abroad and have gained popularity as a group to watch.
People are surprised when we inform of them that our group makes slippers by shredding old T-shirts. Everyone is talking about how to be "green", to be ecologically friendly and sustainable. The Japanese have been conscious of this from long ago, an example being the making of straw slippers in the past. We would like to spread this feeling of being frugal that has been ingrained in many Japanese people through this art form.

Drawing is expression without using words. Drawing-letters can send messages universally to everyone's hearts. They can bring back the feeling of caring which people easily forget.
