Experience Pacific Harmony at the Honolulu Festival
The Honolulu Festival is Hawaii’s premier cultural event, promoting mutual understanding, economic cooperation and ethnic harmony between the people of Hawaii and the Pacific Rim region. Each year, the Festival attracts thousands of new and returning spectators who are looking for an experience unique to Hawaii. Through educational programs and activities sponsored by the Honolulu Festival Foundation, the Festival has been successful in showcasing the rich and vibrant blend of Asia, Pacific and Hawaiian cultures to the rest of the world. The three day extravaganza takes place every year in March from Friday through Sunday. Performers from various countries and regions such as Japan, Australia, Tahiti, the Philippines, Taiwan, South Korea, Hawaii and the mainland United States get together and give dance performances and traditional art demonstrations. The Festival culminates with a spectacular parade down Kalakaua Avenue, the main street in Waikiki. Events and activities of the Honolulu Festival take place close to the city center, making them great outings for locals and tourists alike. Admission to all the events is free, ensuring that everyone can take part in the Festival.
Honolulu Festival’s main theme, “Pacific Harmony,” reflects our vision to introduce the diverse culture of the Pacific region to the people of Hawaii and visitors from all over the world. It is our hope to cultivate the friendship among people of the Pacific, and play a role in contributing to the world peace.

“My Japanese Culture Experience at the Honolulu Festival’s Craft Fair”
I would like to let you know how much we appreciated the opportunity last weekend, mainly learning about the rich Japanese culture. I took my 11 years old son to the Convention Center on Saturday. He got so interested with the crafts, and all the beautiful Japanese art that we “had to” go back next day. The stage, vendors, exhibitors provided a unique experience. A visitor could be not only a spectator, but there was shopping opportunity too, while many people interested in art, craft had a truly golden opportunity to learn, end even participate.
What an unparallel package! And it is all at no charge! You tell me you can find another “deal” like this in town! With all these beautiful things there, it would be a great mistake on my part not to highlight how well organized everything was. Not pushy at all, very polite, knowledgeable, helpful, high class staff! Perfection, Japanese precision! A true professional job!I am sure you will be more than happy to find a way to express YOUR appreciation too for the job well done, and do so for us, for the public.Thank you very much for all the great opportunity there! With great appreciation for the outstanding work I wish you further success through many more events like this and more. Sincerely Yours; Gabor Paczolay
