Our group Shinshinryu Shodokan is headquartered in Kyoto. We are taught poetry recital, sword dance and folding fan dance. Poetry recital consists of reciting Chinese and Japanese poetry to a melody. Japanese swords and dancing fans are used in performing the sword and folding fan dance. Each one is a traditional performing art of Japan. We hope that you will enjoy our performance.
